Late summer colours

Today I headed out to the Green Classroom to see how nature fared over the summer.

The space was transformed since my last visit in July. The vegetation has grown in, and the space now lives up to its name.

Some of the paths have grown nearly over, giving a wild and intimate feel to them.

Yellow flowers are everywhere. In the spring, our class pretended to be squirrels and buried sunflower seeds all over. The sunny flowers remind me of those wonderful days.

Among the yellow, there are occasional splashes of pink...

...and purple...

...and orange!!

I can't wait until the Green Class is filled with children and their exciting discoveries. What will we learn about nature, and ourselves, this year?
